This is a beautiful 1967 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible that has been completely redone. It has a 390ci engine, automatic transmission and 9' rear with disc brakes. This is a rare factory-air car, and the air conditioning works and blows cold air. Other options include power steering, upgraded with power 4-wheel disc brakes, power convertible top and stainless-steel exhaust. The mufflers are chrome and the car sounds like a real hot rod without being distracting. The car was disassembled and painted a beautiful gloss black, just like the factory, but better.
The interior has been completely redone with new seat covers, door panels, carpet and dash pad, as well as a new canvas top with new rubber weatherstripping. The wheels are 17' chrome-aluminum American Racing with new tires. The car has a new gas tank, new power brake booster and master cylinder, new carburetor, new fuel pump and new battery. The interior and exterior trim, including bumpers, door handles, grille, headlight surrounds and taillights, has been recently chrome-plated and new emblems have been installed. The old points have been replaced by electronic ignition and new coil. The suspension has been redone and the car drives like a dream.
The new interior sports an awesome steering wheel by Billet Specialties. This car was built to be driven, but can be shown due to the great restoration.
