A car that paid tribute to Ferrari's greatest traditions, the 612 Scaglietti was named for the coachbuilder who manufactured many of the company's most memorable models. Its styling, meanwhile, was a nod to the legendary 375 MM commissioned by the Italian filmmaker Roberto Rossellini for his wife, cinema legend Ingrid Bergman; indeed, the signature colour for the model was dubbed Grigio Ingrid.
Behind all the romance, however, was a competent four-passenger Grand Tourer, able to carry a quartet of adults very comfortably while at the same time providing excellent performance thanks to its 540bhp V12 engine. The F1-type transmission was updated for this model with additional synchronisation cones, allowing for faster gear changes, while a traditional console-mounted shift gate allowed for selection of manual/automatic, 1st and reverse gears. In testing on Ferrari's test track at Fiorano, the 612 Scaglietti proved itself some six seconds faster than the 456M; top speed was over 315km/h. In every way this was a true Ferrari, capable of delivering all the performance and passion for which the marque has long been famed.
The 612 Scaglietti offered here was acquired several years ago from a large Italian collection. The car underwent its 30,000km service in early 2017 and has been well cared for since then. It is finished in a rich and menacing Nero livery, both inside and out, with the optional Scuderia shields and the F1-type transmission. Accompanied by its original books and manuals, this 612 Scaglietti with its elegant colour scheme and desirable features, as well as connections to the finest models of the company's past, would be an ideal addition to any private Ferrari collection. Needless to say, it would also be wonderful simply to drive and enjoy as its manufacturer intended.

Essayée sur la piste de Fiorano, la 612 Scaglietti se montra six secondes plus rapide que la 456M avec une vitesse de pointe de plus de 315 km/h. C'était une vraie Ferrari, capable de délivrer toute la performance et la passion qui avaient fait la réputation de la marque.
La 612 Scaglietti proposée ici a été acquise il y a quelques années d'une grande collection italienne. La voiture a subi sa révision de 30 000 km début 2017 et a été très bien soignée depuis.
