This 1987 Buick GNX is #273 of 547 created for the single model year, which is indicated on the plaque mounted to the passenger-side dashboard. The GNX, or Grand National Experimental, made in organization with McLaren Performance Technologies and ASC, highlights an overhauled powertrain, suspension and instrumentation. It is powered by a turbocharged 3.8-liter 6-cylinder engine with a high-flow intake plenum and large-capacity intercooler, all mated to a 4-speed programmed automatic transmission. The interior features two-tone fabric, coordinating with weaved logos on the headrests and factory GNX floor mats. The trunk compartment is factory-appointed and largely untouched.

This Buick features GNX badging unique to the front grille and trunk of these vehicles, as well as bumpers furnished from the industrial facility with vents rather than the Grand National seals. This car rides on 16-inch black mesh aluminum wheels that adorn the factory GNX center caps with BFGoodrich Sport Comp Performance tires. The GNX comes with a numbered GNX grille cover, GNX display apparel, the original framed Window Sticker, plant owner's manual and guarantee booklet, original manuals, Factory GNX decals and GNX owner's binders. The original engine components also come with the car to return it to factory specs.

It has been driven less than 3,600 show miles in the last 22 years. 20,011 miles (title reads exempt).
