The BMW M3 has started a legacy that has yet to end over the past 30 years. When the E30 M3 was launched in 1985 it was done so to keep BMW current and competitive with Mercedes-Benz who had just released the 190E 2.3-16 Cosworth. As it made its way on the track in Touring Car Championships around the globe, it soon became a real contender and the benchmark for BMW Performance. The M3 has won at world-renowned races such as the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, World Touring Car Championship Driver’s Title in 1987, and countless wins across the globe on both tarmac circuits and rally settings.

The E30 M3 would mark BMW’s entrance into factory performance vehicles. The M3 continued into the E36 series BMW’s and was received with open arms as a true BMW performance car. This 1999 BMW is from the last year that the E36 model was produced. This M3 is showing just over 37,000 original miles since it was purchased new. It has had just one owner who took good care of the car and ensuring maintenance was performed as necessary.

Under the hood of this M3 is a 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine that is producing 240-hp that is then transferred through a five-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. The car is fully equipped with power steering, brakes, windows, convertible top; and air conditioning, AM/FM radio and 17-inch factory chrome wheels. This California example is presented with black paintwork, black interior and a matching black convertible top.
