This second generation MB 10-valve car has benefitted from a number of performance upgrades and looks the part in Zermatt Silver. The 1988–1989 Audi Quattro. MB is a significant, late-model 'Ur-Quattro' featuring. the Torsen central differential, improved braking, a digital dashboard, and partial galvanization, offering better reliability and handling than earlier models. Powered by. the. 2,226cc. five-cylinder. turbocharged MB engine producing around 240bhp, driving through a 5-speed manual gearbox to the permanent Quattro all-wheel drive system.
UK-supplied in 1988, this example is finished in Metallic Zermatt Silver with black leather upholstery, fitted with electric windows and mirrors, factory sunroof, power steering, ABS, differential control, front fog lights, headlamp washers, rear spoiler and an upgraded CD and radio system. It has been upgraded with a Motec M84 electronic fuel injection system converted by VRS Performance and mapped by David Rowe of EPS Motorsport, together with an uprated K24 turbocharger featuring a billet compressor wheel and a Milltek stainless steel exhaust system.
