Aston Martin concluded production of its AM7 DBS—manufactured from 2018 to 2023—with a limited edition featuring numerous upgrades that improved already stellar driving dynamics and made it the British automaker’s most potent production model up to that point.
The DBS 770 Ultimate’s enhanced 5.2-liter twin-turbo V-12 produces 760 horsepower—or 770 PS in the metric unit of measurement, per the car’s name—and 730 pound-feet of torque, thanks to modified air and ignition pathways and a seven-percent increase in maximum turbo boost pressure. Special calibrations to the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission hasten gear changes, while a new solid-mounted steering column improves turning response. A larger front crossmember, thicker rear undertray, and calibrations to the adaptive damping system improve balance and chassis response.
Visual elements distinguishing the 770 Ultimate from other DBS models include a large hood vent for increased airflow to the radiators, a new front splitter integrated with outboard vents, revised carbon fiber side sills, a redesigned rear diffuser, unique 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, and exposed carbon fiber on the windscreen surround, mirror caps, and fender louvres.
Inside, Sports Plus Seats trimmed in full semi-aniline leather and Alcantara feature a fluted quilting and perforation pattern. A two-tone upholstery treatment sets off the interior, along with carbon fiber gearshift paddles, a tailor-made strap and buckle badge with laser-etched DBS 770 Ultimate logo on the center armrest, and door sill plaques designating the vehicle as one of 300 coupes or 199 Volantes.
This DBS 770 Ultimate Volante was delivered new to Aston Martin of Washington, DC, and features $94,600 in optional equipment, including Onyx Black and Electron Yellow upholstery with matching yellow wheels, special-ordered through Aston Martin’s exclusive Q customization department. Other notable factory options include the Plasma Blue metallic paint, yellow brake calipers and exterior accents, black convertible top, Bang & Olufsen audio system, and 16-way seat adjustment.
Benefiting from single ownership, the DBS has been driven sparingly, showing less than 2,088 miles at cataloguing time. In December 2025, March Motorsports in Carrollton, Texas, performed a two-year annual service, which included an oil change, brake fluid flush, and a systems check.
Aston Martin reserves its “Ultimate” nameplate for range-topping series-production models soon to be discontinued. Due to their rarity and significance, cars bearing this exclusive moniker are among the most highly prized of all contemporary Aston Martins.
