MORGAN REDEFINES HANDCRAFTED LUXURY 🔥

When Morgan introduced the open-top Midsummer barchetta in 2024, many wondered what would come next. The answer is the breathtaking Midsummer Coupe, developed alongside the legendary Italian design house Pininfarina. Rather than simply enclosing the original roadster, Morgan created an entirely new interpretation of the project. Production is strictly limited to just nine individually commissioned cars, each meticulously handcrafted from aluminum and teak at the company's historic Pickersleigh Road workshops.
Converting the Midsummer into a coupe required extensive engineering work. Morgan redesigned its CXV bonded-aluminum architecture with billet-machined aluminum A-pillars and bonded structural glass, creating a significantly stiffer chassis while adding only 2.5% more weight than a hardtop Supersport. Power comes from BMW's acclaimed 3.0-liter turbocharged B58 inline-six, producing 402 horsepower and paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Although traditionalists may miss the involvement of a manual gearbox, the cabin—with its elegant 1940s-inspired U-shaped rear window and beautifully crafted interior—delivers one of the most distinctive driving environments Morgan has ever produced.
Does the Midsummer Coupe strike the perfect balance between classic craftsmanship and modern engineering, or would a manual gearbox have completed the experience?
