Chassis No.: SCFEABDL8JGC21684 Engine No.: AM5/23837 £76,500 | Sold • Variant: Coupe • Transmission: Manual • Body Colour: Stirling Green The first production example of Aston's newly introduced V8 Vantage AMR model, #001 of just 200 is a manual gearbox car and has covered just 586 miles with its only owner. The Vantage name has long been synonymous with more extreme performance Aston Martins since the 1950s, so it’s entirely appropriate that the Vantage AMR was the first series production derivative of Aston Martin’s new race-inspired performance range. Introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017, AMR amplified and accentuated the sporting prowess of the British marque’s road cars, by taking inspiration or direct influence from Aston Martin Racing’s participation in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Launched to coincide with the 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours, where propitiously Aston Martin Racing secured victory in the GTE Class, AML unveiled what became the final production derivative of the VH2 V8 Vantage, the 'V8 Vantage AMR'. It was powered by a 430bhp, normally-aspirated, 4,735cc V8 engine and was available with either the Sportshift III or 6-speed manual transmission. Production of the V8 Vantage AMR coupe and Roadster began in the final quarter of 2017 and was limited to just 200 examples (300 if you include the 100 V12 Vantage AMRs). This example is #001 of the 200 UK right-hand drive V8 AMR coupés built and one of just 38 with the manual gearbox. Vantage AMRs were available in four bespoke exterior schemes and in addition the AMR ‘Halo Pack’ took direct inspiration from Aston Martin Racing’s 2016 World Endurance Championship-winning #95 Vantage GTE, working a combination of Stirling Green paint and vivid Lime Green accents to dramatic effect. As a finishing touch, a special Union Jack enamelled AML wings badge, previously featured on the GTE racer, was available as a no-cost option. This spectacular collectors example, supplied by Aston Martin of Hatfield, is indeed finished in Stirling Green with Lime Green accents over a fabulous tan leather and Black Alcantara interior. Although well specified, it's also been optioned with an Alcantara steering wheel, Carbon Fibre Aerokit, side strakes and rear bumper and fitted with an £8,000 full titanium bespoke exhaust system which sounds epic. There is a set of bespoke luggage, finished in matching black and tan, which we understand has never been used. Having been owned by its one and only keeper and showing just over 580 miles, the AMR has been maintained by Aston directly, was serviced earlier this year and is therefore ready to go to its second home. It's supplied with the dealer book pack containing the official handbook and stamped service book along with some invoices. To make an already special car even more special, the engine-bay struts have been signed by the Le Mans GTE Class-winning drivers from 2017, Darren Turner and Jonathon Adam, who also donated a framed celebration shirt signed by them. From single ownership and just 586 miles from new, #001 is undoubtedly a very desirable motor car and would grace any Collection of significant Astons. https://www.iconicauctioneers.com/2017-aston-martin-vantage-amr-rec14031-1-nec-1124?pn=0&el=23996&pp=0
Luxembourg title European Certificate of Conformity (COC) - The lightest and most powerful Vantage V8 - Limited run of only 150 cars - Brand-new condition, 25km, service book, accessories and exclusive specification - No reserve Inspired by the Vantage GT2 and GTE competition models developed by Aston Martin Racing to compete in the World Endurance Championship, the Aston Martin Vantage GT8 was the most radical roadgoing model in the Vantage V8 family. The 4.7-litre V8 engine from the V8 Vantage S produced an extra 10bhp, or 446bhp in total, but above all, a strict diet resulted in a weight reduction of 100kg over the Vantage. The chassis was further developed for track use, while the aero kit was derived from the GTE models entered in endurance racing, with a prominent front splitter and wide side skirts, as well as a huge rear wing and a large diffuser. The interior, including the door cards, was completely trimmed in Alcantara and carbon fibre, rounding off the car's extremely sporty presentation. Available with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed 'Sportshift' automatic gearbox, the Aston Martin Vantage GT8 was a special series, with production limited to 150 cars (with both transmissions), reinforcing the exclusive character of this athletic English sports car. The model offered for sale is number 67 of the 150 cars produced and is a desirable manual-gearbox version. Its specification is both striking and sporting: finished in 'Rosso Corsa', it has black brake callipers and matching optional 7-spoke 19-inch App Tech magnesium wheels, combined with a black leather interior with red and black stitching and a mix of Alcantara and carbon fibre trim. It is most likely the only car built to this original specification. Delivered new by Aston Martin Luxembourg to its first owner on 7 March 2017, it was acquired by our client in 2019. Like his predecessor, he was conscious of the rarity and exceptional character of the car and chose to take great care of it in his collection rather than to drive it on the road or on track … to the point where it has covered just 25km and is in brand-new condition, with the protective plastic still in place on the doorsills. Naturally, the car comes with its service book and spare keys, as well as its first-aid kit and its cover in its branded storage bag. This Aston Martin Vantage GT8 is therefore a quite exceptional example of a car which has been rare and exclusive ever since it left the factory and is a sure-fire future classic. Impact on VAT: As the vehicle has been driven less than 6,000 kilometers, it can be considered “as new” for VAT purposes in certain European countries. Please contact your local tax authorities for confirmation prior to purchase. The hammer price of this lot excludes VAT. VAT, at the current rate of 20%, is added to the hammer price for a VAT-inclusive sale price, on which the commission charge (including VAT) is calculated. The VAT can be claimed back by French professionals. For buyers outside the EU, the VAT can be claimed back on presentation of export papers outside the EU, or for a professional purchaser who can supply an intra-EU VAT number and a document proving the lot has been delivered to a member state.
