Gregorie with Edsel Ford. The pair’s idea was to create a premium luxury car that blended European and American styling for a youthful but elegant package. Built by hand in relatively record time, the first Continental was sent to Edsel for use during his vacation in Palm Beach, Florida. While in town, he acquired a number of deposits and orders, which he phoned back to Dearborn to register and begin production. The Continental hit the spot with stunning swiftness and word spread quickly among affluent people. In 2019, Lincoln contracted Cabot Coach Builders to fashion an ultra-exclusive version of the Black Label Continental to honor the heritage of the Continental brand while celebrating the 80th anniversary. And thus, the Coach Door Edition was born. The rear passenger cabin was stretched 6 inches and a set of center-opening coach doors were installed, opening to a full 90-degrees for simple ingress-egress. Beyond the body, the Coach Door Edition was trimmed with special leather hides from Bridge of Weir, and a full-length console was installed, stretching from the dashboard to the rear seats. Packed with all the latest technology and luxuries, less than 200 were built between 2019 and 2020, marking it as one of the rarest Lincolns ever manufactured. This 2020 Continental Coach Door Edition is finished in Pristine White, one of only three colors available, and features a two-tone white and Midnight Blue interior motif, known as the Alpine/Chalet theme. Powered by the 3.0L twin-turbocharged V-6 engine and automatic transmission, it has only rolled 46 miles from new. The Coach Door Edition features special touches such as the full-length console, writing tables and umbrellas among other accoutrements; passengers luxuriate with dual climate zones, heated and ventilated seating, and an ocean of power-operated accessories. Rolling on Goodyear tires with Lincoln factory alloy wheels, the Coach Door Edition Continental is truly a historic vehicle. https://www.mecum.com/lots/495256/2020-lincoln-continental/
Chassis No.: 1LN6L9BC4K5607694 • Exterior: Black • Interior: Black/Tan • 100 miles • 3.0L twin-turbocharged V-6 engine • Automatic transmission • Black exterior • Black and Tan interior • Full length center console • Dual zone climate control • Ventilated and heated seats • Power windows, locks and mirrors • Dual exhaust • Alloy wheels • Goodyear tires When Edsel Ford approached designer E.T. Gregorie with the idea of creating a sporty Lincoln with European design influences, the idea was far from lost. In fact, it was embraced and the car was designed and built, by hand, in short order. Targeting the youthful affluent, Edsel took his vacation in Florida and had the car shipped to him so he could use it around town and pique people’s interest. The ploy worked well, and Edsel was taking deposits and phoning orders back to Dearborn on a seemingly daily basis. That was the first Continental, and in 2019, the brand turned 80 years old. When Lincoln approached Cabot Coach Builders to create a special version of the Black Label Continental to celebrate the 80th anniversary, there was little surprise when the company went to work extending the rear passenger compartment by 6 inches and installing rear-hinged back doors. But the car was still surprising, delighting both the press and public alike. Hugely exclusive, fewer than 200 were built between 2019 and 2020, each of them costing about $116,000. The interiors were fitted with leathers from Scotland’s Bridge of Weir, a new center console spanned from the front all the way to the back, splitting the rear seat into two buckets, special fold-away tables were installed, Continental-branded umbrellas were hidden away and every conceivable luxury was part of the package. Available only in Infinite Black, White Metallic and Chroma Crystal Blue, two interior themes were available: Alpine/Chalet, which is a white and Midnight Blue combination, or Black/Thoroughbred, which is black and Saddle Brown. This Infinite Black Coach Door Edition Continental is fitted with the Black/Thoroughbred theme inside and has only traveled 100 miles from new. Powered by the 3.0L twin-turbocharged V-6 engine and an automatic transmission, the celebratory Continental is equipped with all the accoutrements expected, ranging from dual climate control and ventilated and heated seats, to every conceivable power accessory and ultimately creating a world-class luxury car. https://www.mecum.com/lots/495257/2019-lincoln-continental/

GCC Specs means that the vehicle was manufactured to specifications for Gulf Cooperation Council markets. These versions are generally designed for local climate conditions. However, GCC Specs alone does not confirm the vehicle’s condition or mean that it has a valid warranty; these points should be checked separately.
