    Buick LeSabre Convertible, 1975

Chassis No.: 4P67J5X151215 Auction: Fran and Ron Green's Verde Classics Museum Collection 2013 Auction date: February 23, 2013 Lot No.: S72 $29,700 | Sold • Body: Convertible • Red mirror finish paint • Red and White interior • Automatic transmission • Parade boot • Sport wheels • Whitewall tires • 455 CI 4-barrel • Dual exhaust • Air conditioning • Impeccably maintained • Believed to be 26,000 miles from new Like its divisional contemporaries throughout General Motors, in the early Seventies Buick had been busy responding to the fuel crunch and federal safety and emissions requirements with a multi-front developmental program; hardened valve trains, lower compression ratios and catalytic converters were introduced in service to GM’s corporate mandate for unleaded fuel, and more stringent rollover standards were pointing to the end of the convertible, at least for years to come. But that didn’t stop Buick from producing one last full-size grandee convertible: the 1975 LeSabre Custom, a low-volume final edition that totalled just over 5,300 cars, a superb example of which is offered in this assiduously maintained showpiece. Sporting the top-of-the-line 455 CI 4-barrel engine mated to a Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission, it features deep Ruby Red paint polished to a glass-like finish and complemented with a White convertible top and a handsome Red interior with plush White seats. Chromed wheels and whitewall tires add a further touch of elegance to the car, which also serves up air conditioning, power steering and brakes, power windows, parade boot, remote driver’s mirror, tilt steering wheel, AM/FM radio and tinted windshield, all in an immaculate example with just 26,000 believed-actual miles since new. https://www.mecum.com/lots/146974/1975-buick-lesabre-convertible/
