This 1962 Plymouth Fury two-door hardtop is powered by a 413ci 8-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Awarded Best Mopar at Detroit's Autorama, this Southern California Plymouth was disassembled by Masterworks in Madison Heights, MI, with the body completely stripped, including the undercarriage. The no-expense-spared restoration began with the frame being sandblasted. Every nut, bolt, wire, gasket, seal, trim, glass, rubber, molding, grommet and wiring harness is new or has been replaced, restored, refurbished or rebuilt. The arrow-straight, show-finish body and paint were professionally completed.

All the details were covered with efforts to maintain this Fury in stock condition. Some modifications were made to provide additional safety and driver feature comforts, including a dual master cylinder and front disc brakes, and a stock Mopar electronic ignition, and the engine and transmission and drivetrain were completely rebuilt. The laser-straight body and show-quality mirror-finish paint were professionally done. This one-of-one Fury was restored and refurbished paying close attention to detail, with all the brightwork, body trim, stainless and moldings polished to a show finish. This Fury was produced at Chrysler's Los Angeles assembly plant and delivered to Lester G.
