A handsome, all-black, low-mileage example of the sophisticated Maserati 4200 GT, benefiting from the rare option of a manual gearbox.
A rare post-facelift example, this 4200 GT features the revised dashboard instrumentation and the centre console with the cup holder. It is regarded as the 'last of the line' model prior to the Gransport. Powered by a Ferrari-derived 'F136R' 4.2-litre V8 producing around 385bhp through a 6-speed manual transmission and offering 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds and 177mph. Confirmed by Maserati as one of only 214 manual, right-hand drive examples produced, the car was originally supplied by Maranello and has been with its current owner since July 2022. The previous owner acquired the car in August 2016 using it at his holiday home in France, returning to the UK for an annual MOT.
During these years it has been sparingly used and always garaged. It rides on a set of rare factory-supplied 19" 'Gransport' alloy wheels finished in anthracite metallic, housing silver brake callipers with trident logo centre caps. These are shod in a full set of virtually brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. The car is presented in unmodified factory specification, which includes electrically adjustable and heated front seats with three-position driver memory, electric windows, electrically operated door mirrors and a satellite navigation system.
It will be supplied with its owners manuals, a replacement service booklet, brochures, a navy blue leather trident-embossed document pouch, both keys and a substantial history file. For service history, see the Condition Report. Just 33,941 miles indicated and will have a fresh MOT prior to the auction. Currently undergoing the replacement of all suspension wishbone bushes and both cam cover gaskets. The Cherished Registration Number, G9 RNB, is included in the sale.
