In 1987 a new version of the Esprit was unvieled, incorporating rounder styling cues given by designer Peter Stevens of McLaren F1 fame. A new Lotus patented process was introduced to create a new body. The cars type 910 engine retained 215hp and 220ft/lbs of torque, but decreased its 0-60 time from 5.4 sec. to 5.1 sec. and a top speed of over 150 mph. The Stephens style Espirit is often known by its project code name X180. CARFAX shows accident damage to left front and left rear on 01-13-2004.
