Though mechanically similar to the Fulvia saloon, the beautiful 2+2 coupé launched in 1965 had all the visual presence its progenitor lacked and came with a 1,216cc engine producing 80bhp. Tuned, lightweight 'HF' versions provided increased performance and formed the basis of the works' highly successful rallying programme that saw the Fulvia HF1600 secure Lancia's first Manufacturers' World Championship in 1972. Ultimate expression of the Fulvia coupé, the HF1600 had been introduced in 1969 and came with a 1,584cc engine producing 115bhp in road tune, an output sufficient for a top speed of 185km/h (115mph), plus revised suspension and a five-speed gearbox. Production ceased in 1973 after a little fewer than 5,000 HF1600s had been built.
Believed to be the 'Lusso' version, this rare HF1600 is known to have been in Spain, carrying the Barcelona registration 'B 76726', from at least 1985 until 2000. The current owner bought the Lancia from a well-known Belgian motor dealer in 2015, at which time the odometer reading was 98,909 kilometres. The current reading is 6,100 kilometres indicating that since then the odometer has gone 'around the clock'. Equipped with a roll cage, sports seats, and rallying equipment, this Fulvia successfully competed in the 2016 Liège-Rome-Liège historic rally, finishing a magnificent 2nd overall. Accompanying paperwork includes a FIVA passport, various Spanish documents, and a Belgian Carte Grise, and the car also comes with service/maintenance books.

On sait que cette rare HF1600, tenue pour être en version Lusso, a séjourné depuis au moins 1985 jusqu'à 2000 en Espagne, où elle a été immatriculée à Barcelone sous le numéro B 76726. Son propriétaire actuel l'a acquise auprès d'un concessionnaire belge renommé, alors qu'elle affichait 98 909 km au compteur. Elle en affiche désormais 6 100, ce qui signifie que son compteur a fait "le tour du cadran". Munie d'une cage de sécurité, de sièges sport et d'un équipement de rallye, elle a participé avec succès au rallye historique Liège-Rome-Liège 2016 où elle a décroché une magnifique 2e place au classement général.
