The Ford Transit was a revolution in light commercial design and one of the best selling commercial vehicles in history. With its high load capacity, enabled by its wide track, gutsy V4 engine and excellent handling, it became a favourite of tradesmen. This left-hand drive ex-Fire Service Transit Mk1 is a long-wheelbase, twin-wheel panel van finished in Ford Light Blue. In very good condition, having seen very little use and having been off the road for many years. With its twin-wheel, heavy-duty chassis, it would make an excellent period towing and support vehicle for historic motorsport campaigns. The van is running well, but we understand that the brakes will require some attention and general recommissioning following a period of storage.
