Ford rolled out its third-generation F150 Raptor in 2021, and this 2022 Code Orange Metallic SuperCrew shows just 1,090 miles on the odometer. The off-road assault vehicle carries evolutionary refinements to the original formula that were set in motion by the SVT Raptor more than a decade before with options and aftermarket equipment that set it apart from the pack. Twin turbochargers push the 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 engine to a factory rated 450 HP and 510 lb-ft of torque, and the automatic transmission dispatches power to the ground through a hi-lock transfer case and 4.10:1 front and rear axles.
Fox live valve shocks, a 5-link rear suspension with extra-long trailing arms, and skid plates give the third-generation steeper approach and breakover angles, as well as more ground clearance, than its predecessors. Dual exhaust with active valve-flow control features selectable sound levels from neighborhood quiet to full blast Baja. Ford engineered the Raptor to haul over punishing terrain without punishing its driver and passengers. Leather bucket seats and a moonroof are but a few of the long list of comfort and convenience features, including a power-operated tailgate and optional 360-degree camera.
Ford Terrain Management System technology delivers driver-selectable seven-mode control of the Raptor’s power delivery, active suspension, dual exhaust sound levels, transfer case and 2-speed automatic 4-wheel drive system. A tap of the 12-inch touch screen or voice commands enables SYNC for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and an AM/FM stereo with SiriusXM radio and upgraded speakers and boom box supplies entertainment. Fueling up the 36-gallon tank gives the Raptor plenty of room to roam on a custom combination of 17-inch FUEL cast aluminum wheels with TOYO Open Country R/T on- and off-road tires.
