Ferrari debuted the Testarossa in 1984 at the Paris Auto Show. Penned by Pininfarina, it featured a striking low-slung design with a wide stance, featuring crisp angles and long side-strakes, the latter of which channeled air toward the potent 5.0-liter flat 12-cylinder engine. A five-speed manual transmission was mounted in the rear, giving the car exceptional stability and a 40/60 weight distribution. Capable of achieving 60 mph in under 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph, the Testarossa’s impressive performance supported its stunning looks. Ferrari produced the Testarossa from 1984 to 1991, during which time 7,177 examples were produced.
The Testarossa on offer is an original U.S.-delivery example, finished in the traditional Ferrari color scheme of Rosso Corsa over Tan leather. It has undergone a recent full service, including replacement of the belts, as well as recent paintwork to the hood and front fender. It is accompanied by a binder of documentation, as well as owner’s manuals, tool roll, and a rare set of fitted Schedoni luggage. Overall it remains in excellent condition with just 14,000 actual miles.
