The 1999 Ferrari F355 Spider Serie Fiorano is a limited-edition model commemorating the final production year of this glorious sports car from the sacred grounds of Maranello. The featured Ferrari F355 Spider Serie Fiorano is sequence build No. 60 out of a total of 100 units produced and has only 16,548 original miles—a stunning example of a sparingly used classic. What makes the F355 Spider Serie Fiorano so special is the direct transference of competition parts from Ferrari’s F355 Challenge Cup race car.
While the engine remains largely unchanged from the standard 355, the suspension upgrades are numerous and include a lowered ride height, reprogrammed electrically controlled dampers, larger anti-roll bars, stiffer springs and quick-ratio steering. The “competizione” suspension is further augmented by racing brakes externally identifiable by red calipers and cross-drilled and vented rotors. This F355 is fitted with the optional paddle-shifted 6-speed electro-hydraulic transmission, a prime example of Ferrari Formula 1 technology being incorporated into its road cars.
This gorgeous F355 Spider is presented in black with Scuderia Ferrari shields on the front fenders and a steel-mesh Challenge Cup rear grille, both mandatory exterior features on the Serie Fiorano cars. The interior is appointed in striking Schedoni Burgundy Leather on the seats, door panels and convertible boot with contrasting black on the dash, upper door sills, convertible top and floor carpet. The interior is further detailed with Serie Fiorano-specific carbon-fiber accents on the center instrument cluster, door sills and paddle shifters. A suede-covered steering wheel and the silver identification plaque mounted on the dashboard validate its Serie Fiorano heritage.
