The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, introduced in 2004, is one of the few Ferrari models to be released bearing a coachbuilder’s name. Penned by Pininfarina’s famed designer Ken Okuyama, it paid homage to the great Sergio Scaglietti. Its elongated body incorporated multiple design cues from the one-off 375 MM and denoted that it was, in fact, a true 2+2 grand tourer, with enough room to fit four adults. The 612 Scaglietti benefitted from a potent 5.7-liter V-12, producing 533 horsepower, which could be mated to a six-speed F1-style semi-automatic transmission or a traditional manual gearbox. With a top speed of nearly 200 mph, and fitted luggage in the rear, there was little that could top the 612’s combination of comfort and speed when it was released.
With decadal commemorative special edition road cars now ingrained in the Ferrari marque’s DNA through models such as the F40 and F50, it was no surprise that for 2007, Ferrari would release yet another model. Based on the 612, Ferrari offered the limited-edition Sessanta to 60 of their most exclusive clients. Each of the 60 612 Sessanta examples honored the golden era of Pininfarina design through their distinctive two-tone painted livery and exclusive 19-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels. On the interior, a three-stage electrochromic glass roof was fitted, along with diamond-stitched, electrically power-assisted leather seats unique to the Sessanta. A set of matching quilted leather luggage to complete the overall design.
This 612 Sessanta was delivered new to its first owner, Guy Laliberte of Cirque du Soleil, in April of 2008. Its two-tone Nero and Grigio exterior is complemented by stunning Pelle Testa di Moro diamond-stitched grand touring seats, creating an impressively cohesive specification. All 612 Sessenta examples were finished with a unique plaque, located on the center console near the gear selection buttons, that recalled a specific year in Ferrari history. This car’s plaque commemorates 2004, when Scuderia Ferrari achieved its sixth consecutive Formula One Constructors’ Championship.
The car would go on to be sparingly used by its initial caretaker for nearly 10 years, with routine servicing completed at one official Ferrari dealership with Ferrari Classiche-Certified technicians. Just over 2,900 kilometers would be added by the time it was sold in 2017. Since then, its current collector has had the pleasure of preserving this Sessanta and has added a mere 100 additional kilometers; the time of cataloguing, it indicated 3,038 kilometers (~1,888 miles).
Making this 612 Sessanta even more appealing, it was certified by Ferrari Classiche in July 2018 and is now accompanied by its coveted Red Book, corresponding Classiche badge, and

, as well as a Sessanta brochure its original fitted luggage, which comprises a suit holder, makeup bag, portfolio, and multiple suitcases, all in unused, as-new condition.
Just 60 extremely limited and highly coveted 612 Sessantas were produced. This exceptional Ferrari Classiche-certified, low-mileage example of the Pininfarina-designed 60th anniversary ultra-luxury grand tourer would be an excellent acquisition for the dedicated collector of well-preserved, significant, milestone Ferraris.
