By 1971, all Chrysler vehicles were unibody designs, with a subframe to support the engine, transmission, steering and front suspension. This subframe was isolated from the body by thick rubber cushions to damp out vibrations. The unibody design allowed for more rear foot room, better rigidity, and better structural efficiency with lower weight. The four-door offered here shows only 39,371 miles. The blue cloth interior is brand new in quality and remains original. Options include a power seat, power windows, AM radio and 8-track player. The big 440 V-8 under the hood was factory rated at 335 horsepower and it is mated to an automatic transmission.

The New Yorker was indeed a massive automobile by today’s standards with a total length of 224.6-inches, but the ride, look and feel cannot be matched by modern machinery.
