This 1964 Chevrolet Suburban has been extensively modified with a blend of retro style and modern features, including GMC Denali badging. The body and paint sport a show-quality finish and many hidden custom features to bring this half century old truck into the 21st century and beyond. A 2009 GMC Denali all-wheel drive chassis and an interior loaded with options is mated to the ’64 Suburban body. Powered by an LS7 440 horsepower engine mated automatic transmission this vehicle boasts Stabilitrack suspension control, anti-lock brakes, rain sensor wiper system, backup camera and park assist warning system.
Luxury features such as remote start, power door locks, heated leather seats, air conditioning and cruise control combine with power windows that feature one-piece door glass with the original vent wings deleted. The sides of the vehicle feature new tinted glass and are custom-modified with flush glass channels, including rear cargo door windows. The Denali dash instruments and controls have all been custom-fit and modified to fit the Suburban body. Door structures are custom modified and engineered to accept 2009 door latches and window mechanisms, and use the door panel control systems from Denali. It even has a sunroof installed for the ultimate in modern comfort.
Featuring a special lighting system with Halogen head lights and LED Halo turn indicators, the truck has special amber original hood lights have also been integrated and operate in unison as turn signals. Custom installed GM original third brake lights work in unison on top with the original brake lights. Modern infotainment is also present as this vehicle comes equipped with factory GPS, ‘On Star’, CD-DVD player and two television screens. Electric remote custom fit outside mirrors and chromed steel handmade belt moldings ensure both safety and style. An onboard compressor with rear air bags coupled with factory automatic level control.
The interior is all custom-built with fitted side panels and striking headliner, all of which spur the desired effect. The fit and finish of this vehicle is superb and amply demonstrate the many hours of expert engineering that went into the build of this unique vehicle.
