The 'Vette here is a C7 Z06 that is, for all intents and purposes, the prior iteration of the ZR1. It produces 650bhp, enough to move the coupe from 0-60mph in only 3.3 seconds. If you happen to find yourself merging onto the tollway between Austin and San Antonio, it'll take you about six seconds to get from a standstill past the 85mph speed limit. Keep the foot planted and you'll be looking forward to getting a ticket for doing 100mph over that.
You might notice that this specific Corvette isn't a standard example. This extremely limited example is known as the Z06 C7.R Edition that features Corvette Racing Yellow Tintcoat paint (a new color for 2016 and one of two colors offered in the package—the other being Black), C7.R Edition graphics, black rims with yellow accent stripes, Competition Sport Seats with carbon accents, steering wheel, and shifter all finished in Jet Black leather with sueded microfiber accents, special edition kickplates, and of course the Z06 performance package.
The window sticker on the car comes out to north of $120,000 due to the amount of added features this model carries. As a homage to the successful C7.R racecar, Chevrolet decided to build this special edition and load it up with many more features than the standard model, while giving it exclusive extras only to be found on the C7.R. This particular car comes equipped with the flagship 3LZ premium package, along with the C7.R package (nearly $25,000 alone) which includes the Z07 performance package, carbon ceramic Brembo brakes and finally the 8-Speed Automatic with paddle shifters.
With only 8 miles recorded on this convertible, this may be one of the lowest mileage examples available. This collector grade example will be accompanied by its full set of books as well as the original window sticker.
