This 2022 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE is an official pace car built by Chevrolet for NASCAR Cup Series races in October to honor "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This Chevrolet Camaro was used throughout 2022-24 as a full-time NASCAR pace car, then wrapped specifically in pink, in support of the American Cancer Society (ACS) at Talladega Superspeedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway and Martinsville Speedway. It is powered by the production 455hp 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine with 455 ft/lbs of torque paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Modifications include custom pink graphics and an integrated safety strobe lighting system.
The ACS works to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer.
