    Lotus Elite S2.2 (Type 83), 1981

Chassis No.: SCCAB32A9AHD11694 Engine No.: DC912800518442 Registration: UAH 265W Sold • One of 133 built and one of only 11 currently UK registered • Presented in Championship Gold • Previously restored and presented in very good condition • One of 133 built and one of only 11 currently UK registered • Presented in Championship Gold • Previously restored and presented in very good condition This 1981 S2.2 is in fabulous order both mechanically and cosmetically with the Championship Gold paintwork and cream leather interior having been recently treated to a meticulous detailing costing over £1,000. Fitted with the sonorous 160bhp 913LC 2.2 litre twin-cam engine fuelled through twin Dell Orto 45DHLA carbs and mated to a five-speed Getrag type 265 gearbox. The fibreglass body sits on a fully galvanised chassis and weighing just 1,200kg, performance is impressive with 0-60mph in 7.5 seconds. The car was originally restored in 1993 with a photographic record in the history file. In 2022, works undertaken on the car included a new cambelt, tensioner bearings, auxiliary and fan belts, thermostat and hoses, rebuilt carbs, rewired engine bay, new plugs, all oils and filters, new E10 fuel lines and filters, rebuilt brakes with new pads and shoes, a new indicator/full beam stalk and new windscreen wipers. The cream leather interior was fully refurbished at the same time, a black suede Momo Prototipo steering wheel was added, and the Lotus was treated to a pristine set of refurbished GKN Turbine alloys. The indicated mileage is 82,010 which is supported by the sizeable history file. This is a fantastic looking example which is very rare indeed. Lotus Elite 503, 1975

Chassis No.: 741103974 Engine No.: 4J741110030 Registration: JPL 861N • Restored example • Classic styling The 1975 Lotus Elite was a bold step for Lotus, featuring a distinctive shooting-brake design and advanced engineering. It was powered by a 2.0 litre Lotus 907 inline-four engine, producing around 155hp, paired with a five-speed manual or optional automatic transmission. The fiberglass body kept weight low, improving handling, while the rear-wheel-drive setup ensured a sporty feel. Unlike previous Lotus models, the Elite focused on luxury, offering a more refined interior with leather and wood trim. This new model was praised for its handling and innovation. This 1975 Lotus Elite presents extremely well in bright red coachwork and a contrasting beige interior. The ‘pop-up’ headlights function as they should and the chromework appears to be in good order. This enthusiast owned four-seat British sportscar benefitted from an earlier restoration. During our vendors tenure this impressive Lotus has always been used sparingly and garaged. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and in spite of its exempt status by age an MoT test certificate valid until November 2025. This Lotus offers the potential of head-turning family fun and is ready to be enjoyed by a new custodian. Consigned by Dominic Lake. https://www.historics.co.uk/auction/lot/?lot=17339&au=86
