The Chiron relies on large displacement—8 liters—and forced induction via four turbochargers to realize its terminal-velocity top speed of 261 MPH. Ironically, the Chiron is electronically limited to 261 MPH with credible sources citing 288 MPH as its true top speed, a claim that Bugatti has neither confirmed nor denied. However, it would be overly simplistic to characterize the Chiron purely based on its amazing acceleration and top speed. It is the way the Chiron gracefully harnesses and applies this overly generous serving of power that makes it such a delight to drive.
