In the early days of hot-rodding, the drag strips of America were filled with Willys 'gassers' setting race records. This highly modified 1941 Willys Americar coupe combines brute-force drag race power with unique luxury touches. Powered by a supercharged fuel-injected Chevrolet 454ci big block engine equipped with Aeromotive fuel system, MSD Ignition, polished billet aluminum pulleys with a serpentine system, chrome alternator, radiator with electric fan, and polished billet valve covers. The fuel-injected engine is followed by coated tubular headers connected to a custom side-exit exhaust system.

To handle the power, a TH400 Stage 3 transmission is mated to the narrowed Ford 9-inch rear axle and shifted thru the B&M QuickSilver shifter. Additional features include rack & pinion steering, custom powder-coated frame with 4-link rear suspension, chrome-plated control arms and spindles, and Baer cross-drilled and zinc-coated disc brakes. The exterior features custom-painted flames on top of a black-and-white two-tone paint scheme. Inside the leather-upholstered cabin are bucket seats, custom console, chrome tilt steering column, billet steering wheel, Dolphin instrumentation, power windows, high-tech CCD cameras in place of mirrors and a Vintage Air system.

The custom trunk, and custom Budnik aluminum wheels wrapped in large Hoosier rear tires finish off the customization.
