The Renault DJ was one of the first cars to be produced by Renault. It boasted a distinctive front end that was much more streamlined than other cars before it, and this was thanks to its rear hinged bonnet design and relocated radiator. This example has been with its current owners (who are a family of veteran enthusiasts and have a number of other VCC cars in their ownership) for approximately 45+ years. The car has been laid up in storage for the past 30 years (drained of fluids) but has been regularly turned over every 3 months. It is believed to have been restored in 1979.
The car was last on the road 15 years ago for a family wedding, and is understood to have come from Scandinavia due to the snow shoes/covers over on the running board foot plates. Overall the bodywork is solid and the interior is original and in fair condition. Sold strictly as viewed.
