This rare Ram Air IV GTO is finished in special-order Starlight Black with Green Slate interior. Only 151 Ram Air IVs hardtops were produced in 1969 with heavy-duty M40 Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The total Ram Air IV production was 759 units. This is a full matching-numbers example with a documented history. It was sold to Nib Johnston Pontiac-Buick-GMC in Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada in March 1969. Nib Johnston campaigned this GTO for one year in the NHRA F/SA classification and then utilized it as a dealership marketing vehicle for the next 21 years.

During its brief racing campaign, this Ram Air IV recorded its best elapsed time of 12.53 at Van Isle Dragway on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. This Pontiac collectible has gone through a full rotisserie restoration. Features include the original 400/370hp Ram Air IV V8 engine that was rebuilt to full factory specification. It has 100 miles since completion. The engine is mated to the Turbo 400 Hydramatic transmission and linked to a heavy-duty Safe-T-Track differential with factory special-order 4.33 gears. Other notable items include cable-controlled Ram-Air hood inlet, heavy-duty suspension, Y96 handling package and G70x14' Goodyear Polyglas tires.

The Starlight Black show finish surrounds a bucket-seat console interior with wood-grain steering wheel and accents, electric clock, full tinted glass and AM radio with power rear antenna. The history of this very rare Pontiac collectible has been documented since new with items including original GM invoice and custom form, GM of Canada Certification, PHS paperwork, racing photos and restoration pictorial.
