  • Same family since new
  • Exceptional state of preservation
  • Limited edition of 3,000 examples
  • No reserve

Inspired by Jean Todt’s personal car, Peugeot launched the 205 GTI Griffe in 1990, a limited and exclusive edition of 3,000 examples featuring an anthracite grey leather interior, distinctive styling details, and metallic fluorite green bodywork. The example offered here has remained in the same family since new. It was purchased new on 12 January 1991 from the Peugeot dealership in Longwy, as confirmed by the original order form, which is still present. The current owner’s aunt bought it as a second car; the first was an R25 V6 Baccara, later replaced by a Safrane Bi-turbo!

Shortly after taking delivery, she had a pleasant Webasto sunroof fitted. The Griffe was then regularly driven by its sole owner, meticulously maintained, and always kept in a dry garage, which accounts for its exceptional condition despite having covered just over 172,000 km. The bodywork was repainted some time ago in its original color and presents very well, complete with all its distinctive accessories. The interior is likewise original and very well preserved. Mechanically, the timing belt has just been replaced, and regular maintenance has kept the car in excellent condition.

The Griffe is a holy grail for 205 GTI collectors. This example combines the model’s intrinsic rarity with a clear history and exceptional preservation—an opportunity that comes along very rarely.
