Ainsi que le confirme la copie du bon de livraison que nous a communiqué l'Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS, cette Peugeot 201 Coupé est une version " de luxe " qui se distinguait du modèle " affaires " par ses pare-chocs et phares chromés, un intérieur en drap " 1er choix ", ou encore une montre de bord. Elle fut livrée le 26 novembre 1930 à l'agent Peugeot d'Amiens pour le prix de 16277 Francs. Son actuel propriétaire en a fait l'acquisition en 2009 dans le nord de la France alors qu'elle avait bénéficié d'une restauration complète de qualité. La carrosserie retient une élégante teinte bleu nuit soulignée par des ailes noires et des liserés blancs.
Les chromes ont été refaits et sont en bon état. A bord du charmant petit habitacle, la sellerie en drap a été entièrement restaurée, tout comme l'assise et le dossier dans le spider, refaits en similicuir comme à l'origine. Le conducteur trouve face à lui un tableau de bord complet, fonctionnel et conforme à l'origine, à l'exception de la montre qui est plus récente. Notre essai nous a permis de constater un fonctionnement satisfaisant, la mécanique démarre à la première sollicitation et le freinage est conforme à ce qu'il doit être.
Seuls les pneumatiques et la batterie devront être remplacés afin de profiter pleinement de ce modèle rare et plein de charme, particulièrement bien mis en valeur par une belle restauration. It was delivered on November 26, 1930, to the Peugeot agent in Amiens for the price of 16,277 Francs. Its current owner acquired it in 2009 in the north of France after the car had had a comprehensive restoration.
The body features an elegant midnight blue shade, underlined by black fenders and white piping. The chrome has been redone and is in good condition. Inside the charming little cabin, the cloth upholstery has been completely restored, as have the seats and backrests, redone in imitation leather as was the original car. The dashboard is complete, functional and conform to the original, with the exception of the clock, which is more recent. Our drive showed satisfactory operation, the mechanicals start at the first crank, and the braking is as it should be.
Only the tires and the battery will need to be replaced to take full advantage of this rare and charming model, which has had the benefit of a very good restoration. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SELLER WILL TAKE IN CHARGE THE REPAIR OF THE SCRATCH ON THE LEFT FRONT WING AFTER THE SALE.
