The first all-new Morgan to come out of Pickersleigh Road since the +4+ in 1964, the Aero 8 was earth-shattering to Morgan faithful when introduced in 2001. With an all-aluminium chassis – a Morgan first – and a BMW V-8, Morgan hoped that the Aero 8 would keep the family owned company relevant in the 21st century. It proved to be quite successful, and the car’s first major revision came in 2010 for the company’s centenary, the Aero SuperSports. With 362 bhp, 370 foot-pounds of torque on tap, a kerb weight of 1,110 kg and slightly subdued styling compared to the original Aero 8, it was a sports car for the sophisticate.

Delivered through London Morgan and finished in Lapis Blue over a Tan leather interior with a silver roof and fitted with an automatic transmission, this example was produced for the 2015 model year, the last year of production for the Aero SuperSports. Imported to Switzerland by its current owner in 2017, this Morgan presents today in virtually as-new condition. Oozing British character throughout, a Morgan SuperSports is the perfect car for someone looking for modern performance, hand-built character and to stand out from the spots car establishment. It would certainly not disappoint.

Première Morgan complètement nouvelle à sortir de Pickersleigh Road depuis la +4+ de 1964, l'Aero 8 était pour les fidèles de la marque une véritable révolution, lors de son lancement en 2001. Avec une structure entièrement en aluminium (une première pour Morgan) et un V8 BMW, Morgan espérait que l'Aero 8 permettrait à l'entreprise familiale d'entrer avec succès dans le XXIe siècle. Elle s'est montrée prometteuse, et la première évolution importante est apparue en 2010 pour le centenaire du constructeur, avec l'Aero SuperSports. Avec 362 ch, 51 mkg de couple, un poids de 1 110 kg et un style légèrement plus discret que la première Aero 8, c'était une voiture de sport pour amateur sophistiqué.

Livré par l'intermédiaire de Morgan Londres, affichant une teinte "Lapis Blue" avec intérieur en cuir beige et toit argent, et doté d'une transmission automatique, cet exemplaire correspond à l'année-modèle 2015, la toute dernière pour la production de l'Aero SuperSports. Importée en Suisse en 2017 par son actuel propriétaire, cette Morgan se présente aujourd'hui en état pratiquement neuf.
