The McLaren 570S was unveiled at the 2015 New York International Auto Show in 2015 and McLaren predicted that the model would help triple the company's sales volume by 2020. The car is powered by a new iteration of the 3.8 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine already used in the 650S and P1, designated M838T E with thirty percent of the parts redesigned. Arranged in the car as a rear mid-engine configuration, it delivers 562bhp and 443 lb/ft of torque through a seven speed, dual clutch transmission. The 570S can accelerate from 0–62 mph in a staggering 3.2 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 204mph.
A weight of 1452kg gives the 570S an impressive power to weight ratio of 428 PS per tonne while still delivering a fuel economy of 25.5mpg. McLaren focused on delivering ‘day-to-day usability and driveability’ against the most sporting model options in its range with the 570 having increased luggage space, greater interior storage and leather upholstery options. The car is designed with aerodynamics in mind and the teardrop shaped cockpit helps achieve that objective. The rear of the car is inspired by the P1 and borrows the slim LED tail lights and diffuser styling from the flagship sports car.
The car also features dihedral doors, a trademark of McLaren as featured on its ultimate and super series cars.
This absolutely awesome 570S is presented in Ceramic Grey with McLaren Special Operations Black Pack with performance interior in Carbon Black and McLaren Orange which accentuates the bright calipers in what is a very subtle yet recognisable colour combination. First registered on 18th, October 2016 through McLaren Birmingham, this example has just one former keeper and boasts a full service history, the most recent being a major service in April 2019. Offered with a current McLaren warranty until April 2020, two keys, a fully stamped service booklet and complete book pack, this example is presented in showroom condition throughout and boasts full ceramic brakes and new Perilli PZero tyres.
This, frankly, stunning car represents incredible value for money, putting many other supercars in the shade with performance and making your hair stand on end from the moment you open the dihedral doors and get behind the steering wheel. The is a very special car and there are probably not many of us who wouldn’t aspire to drive one.
