The Maserati GranTurismo, and its convertible cousin the GranCabrio, entered production in 2007. Powered initially by the 4.7 litre Ferrari-derived V8 engine sitting in the Quattroporte V platform, the GranTurismo was famously developed in just nine months, a record that remains unbeaten to this day. The reason for this furious pace was that Ferrari kept the designs for the planned next Maserati coupé for themselves when the Fiat Chrysler Group took over, eventually morphing those designs into the Ferrari California. So, with their plans nicked from under their noses, Maserati had to start again and work fast, and what a great job they did with both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio.

Registered new on 9th January 2012, this very well-presented example is offered in metallic black coachwork over a cream leather interior and is showing circa 51,000 miles on the odometer. The paintwork is very good showing little sign of age, and the interior is very clean. Offered with a sizeable history file including, an extensive service record stamped in the original service booklet, previous MoT test certificates, the current V5C registration document, sundry invoices and a current MoT test certificate valid until 12th July 2024. A superb, open top Italian sports car, that sounds fantastic, this GranCabrio looks to be excellent value indeed.

Interested parties should note that although the paintwork is generally very good throughout, the rear bumper does show various blemishes and would benefit from a respray.
