An automotive writer once commented that no other car seemed quite so natural as a convertible than a Lincoln; and with the design of the 1956 Lincoln Premiere, you can easily see what was meant. When you crown its flowing lines with a rakish convertible top, it is simply the extension of the essential Lincoln theme of design; stylish and ready for action.

This convertible represents the 195th car built and has been the recipient of a restoration in its original exterior and interior colors. Options on this fine vehicle include Town & Country radio; power windows, seats and antenna. Additionally this car has a dealer option Continental kit that positions at a unique angle.

The history of this Premiere begins in 1967 when Mr. Henry Ricci of Seattle, Washington purchased the automobile from its original owner. The Lincoln was subsequently sold by the Ricci Estate to Mr. Larry Kamuso, a collector of Fords and Oldsmobiles in Los Angeles. A year later the car was sold to a Mr. Steven Price of Springfield, Virginia. Mr. Price commissioned a complete frame-off restoration for the Premiere, which included a total rebuild of its drivetrain that consists of, in part, a 368-cid, 275-hp V-8 engine and Turbo-Drive automatic transmission.

Mr. Price kept the car for two years and in that time it was driven sparingly. In 2004, he sold the car in Hershey, Pennsylvania at the AACA auction to Mr. Bob Pittman, who invested in additional electrical refinements, as well as refurbishing the dash and convertible top mechanism. The Premiere was shown at a Lincoln and Continental Owners Club (LCOC) event in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2006 where it scored an impressive 98 of 100 points available. Today the Premiere convertible continues to drive wonderfully; every system not only is reported to look like new, but these work as they did the day this fine car left the assembly line.
