As early as 2000, Toyota began working on design concepts for an advanced, halo-type sports car for its Lexus brand. Over the next eight years, this LF-A concept evolved from an initial design by famed Italian designer Leonardo Fioravanti to a fully- fledged production supercar that made its debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. Offering only a limited production of just 500 examples, each LF-A was custom ordered by its owner and then hand built by a specialist team at Toyota’s Aichi factory. Then, in 2016, Lexus debuted the more accessible LC (Luxury Coupe) at the North American International Auto Show.
Built to replace the previous SC model, the LC was built on Lexus’s new GA-L platform, but it featured more aggressive styling reminiscent of the LF-A supercar. Under the hood, the new LC500 featured an all-aluminum, 32-valve 5.0L DOHC V-8 engine that produced 471 HP and fed that horsepower through a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This 2021 Lexus LC500 Coupe shows just 1,601 miles on the odometer. Finished in lustrous silver paint over a black leather interior, this LC500 benefits from multilink front and rear suspension with coil springs, speed-sensing power rack-and-pinion steering and 4-wheel power disc brakes with vented rotors.
Inside, the luxurious black interior features heated and ventilated leather seats with white contrasting stitching, a tilt steering column with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, navigation and tinted glass. Other desirable features include a speed-activated rear spoiler and ADV1 CS Series polished wheels.
