The Lamborghini Murciélago was launched in September 2001 as the V12 super car successor to the Lamborghini Diablo. The 6.2 litre, 12-cylinder engine pumped out 580bhp engine, also to keep it on the road it came with permanent four-wheel drive.

The straight translation of Murciélago in Spanish means "a bat'.. however the car's name followed Lamborghini's "Bull' theme and it belonged to a rather special bull that was so brave that the matador chose to spare its life.

By any standards The Murciélago is very impressive car in its own right but Prindiville, the London based coach-builder and tuner, took five cars and set about applying their own design and engineering skills to produce these fabulous limited edition machines. This is car #1 of that five and we are told it is the only one in Europe.

This car is fitted with Lamborghini's "e-gear' system. This utilises an electronically controlled sequential shifting system that replaces the manual gear-shift system with electro-hydraulic units that are controlled by a dedicated ECU. This ECU is operated by sophisticated software specially developed for the Murciélago, it is based on inputs received from sensors on the clutch and the gearbox, together with the data exchanged with the engine management system and the traction control system. The e-gear system removes the requirement for a clutch pedal..
