This Lambert-built 1986 AMC Jeep Cherokee Pioneer 4x4 LSXJ is originally powered by a factory 2.8-liter engine finished in its original paint, panels and interior. This vehicle has been upgraded to a 5.3-liter LS V8 engine that features Holley Terminator X Max, a Vintage Air system adapted to stock controls (tight and narrow kit) along with tight fit fittings. It is equipped with a 100-psi fuel system (10an suction-6an main), ceramic block hugger headers, 2.5-inch mandrel-bent Y-pipe, 3-inch mandrel-bent exhaust, 3-inch stainless-steel electronic cutout and Flowmaster Series 50 suitcase.

The engine is mated to a fully built Extreme 4L60E transmission with a billet oil pump, a billet Beast sunshell gear, Corvette servo and a shift kit. A few components have been drilled out to accommodate higher line pressure mechanically, not electronically. It features a Novak conversions billet transmission adapter, Novak 23-spline output shaft mated to a 3,000-stall torque converter and a 31-spline Ford 8.8-inch rear differential. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes, and it also features Eaton Detroit TrueTrac posi-traction, an NP207 transfer case with a 23-spline input shaft. It has converted power steering lines, a BDS dual steering stabilizer and Rubicon Express front HD springs.

This Jeep is equipped with factory cruise control, factory gauges in working condition, factory AMC painted rims, a factory AMC rear tire carrier, a factory AMC bush bar, a factory AMC rear spoiler, factory AMC rear split vented windows, factory AMC mud flaps and wears all its AMC factory badges. This vehicle has never seen snow and or road salt and is in its stock appearance. It has been kept in moisture-controlled environments its whole life. Roughly 400 hours went into this build.
