Awarded C10 Nationals 1947-1953 Truck of the Year and built by Why Not Motors, this 1951 GMC 100 custom pickup underwent a complete frame-off nut-and-bolt restoration. It is powered by a new blueprinted 383ci stroker V8 engine with Holley fuel injection, a billet serpentine belt system with air-conditioning compressor and custom stainless tubed headers. Power is transferred through a 4-speed automatic transmission to the GM 10-bolt rear end. It is also equipped with power rack & pinion steering and Wilwood power disc brakes. The engine is cooled with a custom extra capacity aluminum radiator with a high-flow electric fan.
This pickup sits on a full custom chassis with complete front and rear RideTech air-ride system with triangulated rear and full tubular front end, along with dual compressors and a 5-gallon air tank. The body modifications include a smoothed firewall, custom front inner fenders and rear roll pan, while the short bed is finished off with a solid oak bed floor. This pickup rides on U.S. Mags wheels with 18-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. The cab features a one-piece windshield and single-piece door glass. The full custom interior features a completely wrapped cab, paint-matched tilt column, billet steering wheel and a floor-mounted Lokar shifter.
