This is equipped with a GMC 6-cylinder 228 ci engine and GMC 4-speed manual synchromesh-type transmission with GMC hypoid H-33 with 4.11: 1 ratio rear axle. It was professionally, nut-and-bolt, frame-off, and rotisserie restored in Montana for a private owner with no expense spared. The truck has been privately owned since its restoration over ten years ago with less than 3,000 miles since restoration. It's always been stored in climate-controlled buildings and maintained to the highest degree. Great care was taken to restore to original specifications with upgrades for driving and ease of owner's use in mind. The fit and finish to this all-steel body are second to none.

Upgrades include but are not limited to the following: The original 228ci engine was upgraded to an era-correct 248ci engine. The clutch used was the larger optional 10-3/4' with the smaller clutch pressure spring for ease of clutch pedal use. The electrical system was upgraded when restored from the 6-volt to a 12-volt system with alternator for ease of starting with much improved lighting. All gauges are 12-volt and work correctly. The steering geometry was modified to allow the use of radial tires for ride; the handling is far greater than original ride and handling as the steering geometry is matched to the modern road tracking. The radio is modern but looks era correct.
