The '71 Torino was sleek and stylish, as evident by this superbly restored 1971 Torino GT Convertible offered from the Golden State Muscle Car Collection. Finished in 'triple black,' this Torino GT is equipped with an interesting array of options including the C-Code 428 cubic inch Cobra Jet engine, 4-speed manual transmission (topped with a Hurst T-Handle shifter) paired with a bench seat, factory air conditioning, and power brakes.
Despite the Torino being a solid seller for Ford, the GT Convertible was built in comparatively small numbers, with this car being one of just 1,613 built that year. Having joined the Collection in 2005, it has been very well kept, with excellent detailing and an authentic overall look. Riding on factory 14-inch wheels with Mag-Style Deluxe wheel covers, and featuring correct GT rocker trims and badges, it has an understated presence that belies the fact that a Cobra Jet big block and 4-speed lurk beneath the skin.
