In 1964 Ford introduced the fourth generation of the Thunderbird. Designers successfully combined cues from the previous three generations into the new model, giving it modern flare while still paying homage to the past. The cars were offered in three body styles: hardtop, landau and convertible, all of which offered passenger seating for four. New additions to the 1965 model year included sequential turn signals and front disc brakes.

This 1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible has been restored and is presented in triple black – exterior, convertible top and interior. Exterior features include accenting brightwork, fender skirts, dual sideview mirrors and thin whitewall tires with factory wheel covers. The Thunderbird is powered by a 390-cid V-8 engine which is paired to an automatic transmission. Power options on the car include the top, driver’s seat, steering and brakes. The interior is completed in black and features factory air conditioning and a radio. In 1965, Ford produced 6,846 examples of the Thunderbird convertible.
