Held in the care of one family since new, this Limited Edition 2019 Ford F150 Super Snake Pickup shows just over 12,100 miles on the odometer. It’s finished in black with dark gray stripes, bright alloy wheels and various Shelby-unique badges, decals and a body kit, and the bed is covered by a tonneau cover and finished with carpeting. Powered by a supercharged 5.0L/755 HP V-8 engine with an automatic transmission, at the time of production, the F150 Super Snake had 10 more horsepower than the Mustang GT500, allowing it to thunder from 0-60 MPH in a hair under 4 seconds and find 100 MPH in just over 8 seconds.
Accompanied by a window sticker and a Whipple program tuner, this ultra-high-performance F150 has a black leather interior with a Super Snake-badged center console and bucket seats. The seats are highlighted further by red contrast stitching and perforated seating surfaces, and the interior is trimmed with carbon fiber. Other amenities include power windows, power locks, power mirrors and more. It was rumored that the whole reason behind the Shelby F150 Super Snake was because customers were upset over the Ford F150 Raptor succumbing to a V-6 engine. Another rumor was that some customers missed the street-hip Lightning.
Regardless of what the truth is, to appease both sets of customers, Shelby went to work and created a special body kit and a custom interior, reengineering the F150 to look racier than ever, move better than ever and be more comfortable than ever. The chassis was gone over, the 5.0L V-8 engine was completely redone and topped by a Whipple supercharger, new upholstery was installed, and, basically, the F150 was fully redone. The idea worked, and the Shelby F150 Super Snake sold fairly well, considering its price tag, which normally edged well over the $100,000 mark.
