This 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria transparent-top model is a recipient of a nut-and-bolt restoration finished in Deep Black and Tropical Rose two-tone paint with a black and Tropical Rose upholstery interior. It is powered by an upgraded Thunderbird E-code 312ci V8 engine with dual 4-barrel carburetors, paired with a Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission, often referred to as a 2-speed. It features lots of chrome trim, including the chrome Fairlane side-swoop trim, the chrome bumpers, grille, window trim, twin spots, the chrome glass top pillar and Continental spare. The glass top roof or, as Ford marketed it, the transparent top.
It also features the Crown has the inside zip shade as well. No detail was overlooked on the interior restoration with matching black and Tropical Rose upholstery. The interior features power windows, 4-way power seat, Magic Air dash-mounted heater controls, the dash-mounted round dial push-button radio, dash clock all with chrome bezels and under-dash chrome tissue holder. This glass-top Crown Victoria rides on wide whitewall tires with factory full wheel covers. There is a matching spare in the trunk and one mounted on the rear.
