Following up on the LaFerrari and debuted in 2019 in honor of the 90th anniversary of Scuderia Ferrari, this 2022 Ferrari SF90 Stradale PHEV plug-in hybrid is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 internal combustion engine developing 769hp, supplemented by three electric motors generating another 217hp, resulting in 986hp in total and 590 ft/lbs of peak torque. An all-wheel-drive system delivers the power, making the SF90 the first mid-engine Ferrari model so-equipped. The F1-Trac traction control and E-Diff 3 systems maximize power delivery.
Power is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and four drive modes ranging from EV Only to Hybrid, Performance and the all-out Qualify setting. Performance includes 0 to 60 mph acceleration in as little as 2.5 seconds, a 9.9-second quarter-mile and 211 mph flat out. According to EPA estimates quoted by Car and Driver magazine, the SF90 Stradale also delivers 18 mpg combined highway and city mileage running solely on gasoline and up to 51 mpg of gasoline-equivalent (MPGe) using both gasoline and electric power. The carbon-ceramic brakes include an energy recovery function.
The body design of the SF90 is the product of the Ferrari Styling Centre staff under Flavio Manzoni, and this SF90 Stradale features a Rosso Corsa paint finish. It has personalization that includes a wide array of factory options, starting with $844 Interior Variation, $4,219 AFS System America lighting, $1,856 Alcantara seating surfaces, $1,519 red brake calipers and $1,181 colored inner details. Carbon-fiber accents accounted for over $60,000 when new, found inside and out on the side air splitters, rear air diffuser, under-door covers, driver zone plus LEDs, instrument cluster, rear shelf, door panels, sill kick plates and upper tunnel.
The driver is greeted by an eManettino steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster with head-up display (HUD). Driver aids include Electronic Side Slip Angle Control (eSSC) and Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer 2.0. Passenger amenities include dual-zone climate control and a multimedia entertainment system with Bluetooth and DAB, plus SiriusXM satellite connectivity. This SF90 was delivered new to Continental Classic Motorsports of Hinsdale, IL, with a Total Suggested Retail Price of $647,355, and has been collector-owned since July 2024.
