In 2002, Ferrari replaced the highly successful 550 Maranello with the 575 Maranello M, the letter standing for Modificata. The 575 designation denoted an increase in displacement from 5.5L to 5.75L and a bump from the 550M’s 485 HP to 515 HP. The beautiful Pininfarina-designed body was left untouched but for a new headlight arrangement and a redesigned dash. A new 6-speed paddle-shift transmission was also made available, but many buyers remained faithful to the time-honored gated shifter, including the original purchaser of this 2003 575 Maranello M berlinetta.
Finished in the rare pairing of Rosso Corsa paint and Crema leather interior, this 575M has been driven just 9,785 miles since new and is fresh from a major service performed in 2015. This Ferrari is notable for its special Fiorano handling package, which includes Red painted brake calipers fitted with Brembo Pagid brake pads, special front and rear springs and shocks, a 21mm diameter rear sway bar, modified power steering ECU, special alignment specifications and this car’s optional 19-inch split wheels.
In addition to a reupholstered dash, the car incorporates Daytona-style power seats, contrasting stitching, leather upholstered rear shelf, AM/FM stereo with subwoofer and CD player, carbon-fiber interior trim, air conditioning, Red and Black remotes and custom Tubi exhaust to maximize the beautiful music emanating from the snarling V-12.
