This 1961 Chrysler Windsor was built in Windsor, Ontario and features more outside trim and a more upgraded interior compared to the Newport, which was only built in the U.S. It's powered by a 361ci 8-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The transmission is shifted with push-buttons to the left of the steering column. The heater and vent controls are push-buttons to the right of the steering column. A dash dome houses the gauges. The dash is topped with a crack-free, original-to-the-car padded dash pad.
The interior is in good condition, from its polished stainless-steel bows trimmed headliner and all-chromed window garnish moldings to the dash with its pit-free heavily chromed appointments. It features raised door and rear quarter-panels with chrome trim on each panel, and the unique Chrysler swing out-seats, which were optional. 1961 was the last year of the high-styling fins, and this is the only Chrysler model that carried polished stainless-steel trim on top of the entire length the fins. The Windsor is shorter than the 300, with well-balanced lines: 'The Forward Look,' as Chrysler called it.
It has 56,892 actual miles (the title reads mileage exempt) and spent most of its life in western Alberta, Canada. The paint is in good condition and the car runs and handles well.
