With more rounded styling and show car-inspired detailing, Chevrolet’s first-year Impala made a successful debut that prompted management to make it the permanent flagship of its full-size lineup. The example offered here is a quality restoration finished in White with a Black soft top and multi-tone Red interior with in-dash clock, Wonderbar radio and tissue dispenser. A 348 CI W-head V-8, Powerglide automatic and power steering deliver effortless performance, and the cosmetics are highlighted by fender skirts, dual antennas, spinner wheel covers, wide Whitewalls, a Continental kit and great chrome all around.
