The Chevrolet Corvette was chosen to pace the Indianapolis 500 for the third time in 1995. With a base engine producing 300 HP and one of the most refined suspensions of any sports car in the world, the Corvette needed only a few mandatory safety features to ready it for Pace Car duties. This 1995 Corvette Pace Car convertible is one of only three Pace Cars built for the 1995 Indy 500 and has been driven only 3,529 miles since new. The third Chevrolet-built Pace Car piloted by Chevrolet general manager Jim Perkins, it was recently displayed alongside the matching Chevrolet Van awarded to 1995 pole winner Scott Brayton while under the stewardship of Richard Berry.
