Presenting an extremely rare 1937 Buick Special 2 door touring sedan slantback M44. This car has undergone a complete restoration and is as clean on the bottom as the top. Its beautiful bodylines, black paint and white wall tires make it very attractive. The styling of the Buick Special Series 40 was modified for 1937 with several noticeable changes including such items as the front grille horizontal bars with divider down the center, the fenders were revised and given squared off ends and the height was lowered nearly 2' without sacrificing interior room since the floors were lowered as well. Everything was restored or replaced during the restoration.
The exterior body is very straight and the black paint looks great. The black wheels with white wall tires compliment the exterior perfectly. The interior has been completely restored and is in excellent condition. The classic style dash is timeless and all the gauges work. The windows roll up and down smoothly and the seats are very comfortable. The rear seating area is extremely spacious. The trunk compartment is well organized with the spare tire and shelves for storage. The engine compartment is highly detailed and showcases the OHV Buick straight 8 engine that offers 100hp. This engine starts with no hesitation and runs great.
It has a 3-speed sliding gear transmission with floor shift controls and a single dry plate clutch with shaft drive for easy functionality. The undercarriage is as clean as the top. This car is great looking and can be driven anywhere.
