This Buick is a rare European version, as confirmed by its original Antwerp import plate. The Marchal headlights set it apart from the American versions, and we noted that the speedometer was in km/h. It's a Model 48, which means a Coach by Fisher body, and although its registration card mistakenly states that it was first registered in 1934, it's actually a 1937 model. It had already been restored when its current owner bought it in 2015. Since then, a great deal of work has been carried out, including replacing the gearbox, overhauling the radiator, changing the water pump, and re-sealing the intake/exhaust manifold.

A file of invoices bears witness to this work, and an expert report drawn up in 2015 is included in the file. The bodywork is sound, and bears the marks of an early restoration, as does the beautiful cloth upholstery, which has had the headlining refinished. The imposing in-line 8-cylinder engine, with a capacity of more than 4 litres, is the original and performs satisfactorily. This imposing Buick is not lacking in allure; its coach body is unusual in Europe and it is a reliable model that can be used for long journeys - thanks in no small part to its powerful engine: in short, an accessible pre-war car made for long journeys!

Please note that the car is sold without the French technical inspection.
